2.49 ct Rhodolite Pendant by Leigh Maxwell Jewelry

This spectacular necklace is Leigh Maxwell Jewelry’s contribution to the Lift Collection benefiting East African women miners.

This 2.49 carat rhodolite garnet of exceptional raspberry color was sourced rough in Tanzania.  Beth Stier coaxed the maximum fire from the rough gem in this custom hexagonal cushion cut.

Designer Jennifer Maxwell of Leigh Maxwell Jewelry has traveled to East Africa and is obsessed with the intricate bead work that is deeply embedded in the culture there.  The  concentric rows of graduated diamonds in this pendant are reminiscent of the bead work and woven baskets in Africa which is a common theme in Jennifer’s Amani Collection. Amani means peace or harmony in Swahili,  and she hopes that’s what the wearer of this pendant experiences every time she adorns herself with it.

The necklace is 18K yellow gold set with an ANZA 2.49ct rhodolite garnet surrounded by diamond pave at 2.18ct. 18 inch length.

100% of the proceeds from this ring will be donated to Gem Legacy to support East African women miners.
